Welcome
We
are here to serve you with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We invite
you to find rest for your soul as you worship the Lord Jesus and
study God's Word with us. We invite you to share a fellowship of
committed Christians working together and helping one another to
grow in Christ. We offer a free course of Bible study to prepare
you for church membership.
Our
Synod
St.
Paul's is a member of the Wisconsin
Evangelical Lutheran Synod. Our synod is a group of more than
1000 congregations united in a common confession of faith and working
together to train church workers and do mission work. Our synod
has churches in all fifty states and in Canada. It's mission program
is worldwide.
Our
Faith
We
believe that the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God, unalterable
and complete, and the only authority for doctrine and practice.
We believe that God is one divine essence in three persons, Father,
Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that man is not the product of evolutionary development,
but was created by God in the beginning an intelligent, moral being.
We believe that man was created holy and innocent, but in his present
state is entirely depraved, enslaved in the service of sin, and
destined for death and hell.
We believe that God, in His infinite mercy, resolved to save mankind,
and that the Divine Redeemer appeared in Jesus of Nazareth, the
Son of Mary and the Son of God, who perfectly obeyed the Law of
God which man had transgressed, by His sufferings and death paid
the penalty for the guilt of the entire world, and by His resurrection
from the dead has been declared the all sufficient Divine Redeemer.
We believe that all who penitently accept Christ as the one and
only Savior in sincere faith are justified in the sight of God and
made heirs of salvation.
Christian
Education at St. Paul's
We
at St. Paul's realize the importance of a thorough Christian education,
not only for adults, but also for children. We provide Christ-centered
and fully accredited education for children in grades pre-K through
12. Grades pre-K through 8 are taught at our church facilities,
and grades 9 through 12 are taught at Huron
Valley Lutheran High School in Westland. We assist the parents
in bringing up their children in the way of the Lord and share the
Gospel message with our students.
Our principal and staff will be happy
to meet with you to discuss possible enrollment. Call the school
office at (734) 421-9022 for grades pre-K to 8 or (734) 525-0160
for grades 9-12 for more details or an appointment.
St. Paul's Lutheran Preschool is a loving Christ-centered, play-oriented
learning environment, serving children aged three to five years
old from our congregation and the community. Our 4-year-old program
runs on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the mornings, with an afternoon
program as enrollment allows. Our 3-year-old program runs on Tuesday
and Thursday mornings. Preschool classes are held September through
May. Our preschool is licensed by the State of Michigan.
Sunday School classes are offered for pre-K through adult from September-May.
All lessons are Christ-centered and applied to life. A variety of
midweek Bible classes are held as announced.
A special Bible Information Course is offered several times a year
for those interested in becoming members of St. Paul's. These classes
are held one night per week. The course runs 16 weeks.
Our pastors are ready to serve you in any way consistent with
their office. If you have questions or desire spiritual guidance,
if you are ill, have spiritual concerns, or are interested in
church membership, please contact
us.
