Christian Education Opportunities at St. Paul's

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path."Isaiah 119:105

Jesus says to us "You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me(John 5). Because Jesus comes to us in the Bible, because with Jesus is eternal life, we set aside time to read, dig into, discuss and ponder the written word. Take advantage of the opportunity to read Scripture in a group in our church family. Be brave and give it a try, especially if you haven't done so before. Come back if you have fallen out of the habit. These classes will help you diligently study the Scriptures through your life.

Bible Time for all ages – SUNDAY Mornings, 9:45-10:45 am

Children, 3-years old through the 6th grade learn stories of the Bible, and teachers help children apply the truths to their lives. Teachers follow "Christ Light", a three-year series of Bible stories with age-appropriate applications.

Grades 7 thru 8 students continue to learn using "Christ Light". In addition, children explore and discuss special issues and topics important to their Christian lives.

Adults gather to read and discuss whole books of the Bible and topics of the Bible.

We will begin with studies on several of the spiritual gifts God has given to the people he has created, redeemed and sanctified. Later we will study the common blessings and unique callings of men and women, heirs together of God’s gracious gift of life. Come read, listen, discuss, grow.

Men – MONDAY Morning

Men gather for study 8:00 am to 9:00 am Mondays to study various topics important to their Christian lives.

Trinity: One God, Three Persons, by Prof. Richard Balge, will be our first book. Usually the men purchase and retain the books we read. Gentlemen, if you are contemplating joining us on Mondays and if you desire more information, please ask Pastor Steinbrenner.

Women – THURSDAY Morning

Women gather for study 9:30 am to 10:30 am on Thursdays to read whole books of the Bible and study topics important to their Christian lives.

Currently the ladies are reading Luther’s Large Catechism. Ladies, if you have an hour free on a Thursday morning – stop in!

BIC (Bible Information Class)

We offer special classes designed to prepare newcomers for membership in the St. Paul’s family.

WHAT DOES JESUS TEACH? - Is it time to feed your faith with a refresher of the Bible’s basic teachings? Do you know of a friend or acquaintance you could bring along with you? Or are you a person who is interested in why we proclaim what we do at St. Paul’s church and school. Perhaps you desire membership in our congregation or just want to hear more?

Please join us beginning October 3 to let God’s Word answer our questions and reinforce our faith in Jesus. We will meet on Mondays from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. for what we call a Bible Information Class or BIC. Initially, we will meet in the Bible class room/multi-purpose room. (Take a left turn after you come in the school entrance.) Kindly spread the Word about this opportunity and consider it for yourself. Childcare will be provided.
